About the Playground project: 

The Forest Elementary School is located in the Allingtown section of West Haven, CT.  Forest Elementary is a Title I school meaning we have a high percentage of children from low-income families who depend on help to ensure that all children meet challenging state academics.

Currently in the Allingtown area there are no playgrounds for these children to enjoy.  Some parents do not have transportation to bring their children to other playgrounds within the city.  Currently the children play in an asphalt area off of the parking area of the school grounds during recess when school is in session.
