August 26th lunch meeting at Lorenzo's at 12:15. We will welcome Alexandra Ramos, a sports woman, entrepreneur and CEO of a nonprofit, as our guest speaker.We are expecting our District Governor, Stephanie Phillips, to join us, also. Stephanie will bring us up to date on our district, 7980, and Rotary International. Stephanie always brings her wonderful energy, excitement and Rotary passion. WESTIE WELCOME. Please let me know if you'll be attending the meetings. It's not too late to gather basic school supplies (crayons, pencils, pens and folders — or monetary donations) and bring them to our lunch meeting on Wednesday. It's a simpler process than collecting and bagging all the supplies as we've done in years past.
Our commitment to the Purple Pantry requires us, for the next 10 months, to volunteer to fill 7 bags of food items and or fill the Pantry box. This community service takes less than an hour. WILL YOU HELP? Let me, Roland Depew, or Diane and Phil Milano know. From the Board grapevine:
Planning is ongoing for the second annual Homecoming event in September. Last year's gathering was a lot of fun and a chance to reconnect with fellow Rotarians, potential members, friends and family.
